Sally, I remember going to do a reading in spokane for my first book, North of Hope, at a bookstore Mothers Day weekend alone, five mo mos after my second child was born. They hadn't publicized it and no one was there- send I missed a weekend with my tiny kids and husband while pumping. Def a low point. Then The Grit factor came out a few months into the pandemic and just ahead of the 2020 elections. Fortunately we were starting to get the hang of virtual but attentions were scattered nationally. It's a tough road! The good thing is when you write a book for the ages as you are doing, it is needed and will be discovered, if a bit late sometimes. Many congratulations on your latest contribution to these important conversations! Your wisdom is needed.

Thank you for your comment Shannon. These experiences were agonizing. Agree that virtual has its challenges, but having done this for so many decades, I know that things are better now. And certainly less stress- of the kind you so painfully describe.

Thank you Harrison. Hope you're well. I'll be returning to Petronas for an event in June. Remember last time we were in touch was on the Knowledge Cafe programs we did there.
